About

I was born in the autumn of 1979 in Greenwich, London. After three years in London my family relocated to Brighton on the South coast of the UK. Finding a passion for the natural world and through skateboarding, I began photographing at the age of 15, managing to avoid studying more academic subjects by enrolling onto various photographic courses.

Following completion of an A-Level and a National Diploma in photography in Brighton, I studied a BA (Hons) in photography at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth. In 2004 I moved to London to assist some of the most renowned, creative advertising photographers in the world.

My personal work explores human interaction and involvement within the contemporary landscape. Through careful observation and use of a muted colour palette, I scrutinise banal and routine situations, often concentrating on notions of isolation within these spaces. Whether inhabited by humans or not, I shoot with a fascination in the whimsical world around us, conveying feelings of austerity and melancholy.

I live and work in London, continuing to make personal photographs, whilst simultaneously shooting commissions for a growing body of return clients.
