Folk music has been a deep-rooted British tradition since medieval times, and with continued interest in preserving and practising well-established techniques, finding the perfect instrument is paramount.

Since the early 1970s, Roger Bucknall has been a household name in the production of high quality, small run, acoustic guitars.

His enterprise began on Lancashire's Fylde coast, giving the company it's name, later moving to Penrith, on a northerly edge of the stunning Lake District.

Roger's carefully selected team create exquisite, hand crafted guitars, from extensive wood varieties, with each instrument becoming as unique an artefact as the player who commissioned or eventually owns it.
